Biography

So instead of writing just about myself, I thought I might write a short biography for some of my friends. How I met them, what they are up to, and maybe a few funny stories mixed in. Not sure how many I will do, but I'll do it for awhile and see how it goes. I have a very close group of friends and it seems like we've all been spread out over the past few years. But they're all still a big part of my life and this seems like a fun way to show it. Hopefully I don't embarrass anyone too much, but I'm sure everyone will be a good sport. These will be in no particular order, just whoever comes to mind first. So in the next couple of days I should have something up for my good buddy JP.

Road Trip Gone Bad

I'm not going to say that we had a 100% good attitude before leaving for Iowa, but I wouldn't say it was a bad one either. The only reason I bring this up is because the trip sucked. Chach (pictured left) is from Iowa City, and has been hounding Sean (on the right) and I to go visit with him for awhile. So we picked last weekend to make the road trip. Chach ended up flying instead of riding with Sean, Joven, Molly, and I. This pretty much is indicative of how the rest of the trip went. Don't get me wrong; the trip wasn't all bad. But the fun we did have was making light of our bad situation. But we all learned a few things that might help us down the road. Keep in mind that the majority of these points were made while one or all of us were drunk:

• Iowa is 75% vowels.
• Never let Sean hold your newborn child.
• Never tell Sean to jump over the neighbor's fence, sit at their bar, drink their rum, and then steal their keg cups, because he will do it.
• Sean does not get along well with bums, trees, bushes, and chicken on a stick.
• If you ever have the opportunity to stay in an Amish community; don't.
• There is a reason why there are so many Iowans in Colorado.

But in the end, I guess it wasn't all bad. But you won't catch me planning another trip to Iowa any time soon. --RM
